TechTown Design System
brand identity
The Wilson Adaptive Technologies (WAT) brand is defined by its value propositions, and core messages, which are derived largely from:
● Founder Ron Wilson’s story
● The problems WAT aims to address
● The unique solution offered by WAT’s products
This section of the Design System offers resources on WAT company values and tone. This helps us in carefully crafting messages about all aspects of the company and brand and can be adapted to each project (web, pitches, social, etc.)
VALUE PROPOSITIONs
ACCESSIBLE
The WAT showers are designed to meet or exceed A.D.A. standards. We engineered our shower models to the unique accessibility needs of any user or care provider. Standard showers feature ample interior space for wheelchairs, 360-degree access for care-giver assistance, easy entry, and plenty of accessibility options.
ADAPTABLE
The WAT showers are designed as adaptive medical devices. This means they are easy to adapt to any living situation, in almost any room where you live. An easy to assemble shower can help with activities of daily living, rehabilitation, or treatment. Our showers are modular from the base-up, allowing for seamless assembly/disassembly and easy transportation.
AFFORDABLE
Our mission is to ensure everyone can access a shower, while redefining fair market value. We keep expenses low, so we can focus on quality. Our showers won’t leak, and can be modified with grab bars, anti-slip features, water level sensors, temperature sensors or automatic shut-off technology, all at lower price than our competition.

WAT sees each individual as unique and offers help with matching people to the right adaptable shower so they can get affordable access to hygiene.

We do not make assumptions about a person’s level of disability, their appropriate level of care or amount of independence.
-
WAT offers multiple price points and buy or lease options to ensure everyone is able to access proper hygiene.
-
The WAT shower is the only product designed to meet the accessibility and affordability needs of users and caregivers, with robust engineering at a price that is over $1000 less than our nearest competitors.[1] [2]
-
Our showers are not designed to simply meet a market demand. It is designed to redefine fair market value, to intervene in a market that is, at best, skimming the top of a rapidly growing market and, at worst, profiteering.
-
WAT is a viable and sustainable company seeking to go beyond making a profit and having a steady revenue stream to meet a crucial need in the disability community by providing equitable access to hygiene.
-
Ron’s design solutions stem from first-hand experience of the mental and physical problems associated with inadequate hygiene.
